European Championships: 29th

Sunday Gosse competed in the European Championships, held in Rosmalen.

The first title race of this season was in the Dutch Rosmalen, where the European Championships took place. On a fast and technical parcours Gosse started around the 25th place. During the race he rode in a group which battled for that position. In the end Gosse finished 29th. The European title went to Gosse`s fellow countryman Mathieu van der Poel.

“Disappointed as an athlete but proud as a person! Having an exam week at the Radboud University Nijmegen as a preparation for a Europeans Championships in professional cyclocross isn’t the perfect way to get ready. I know I am in good shape, but today I missed the prices to complete the puzzle to get that championship result you hope for. 29th in the end isn’t where I came for to Rosmalen. Apart from the results in the end it was just an unreal experience to race at such an event. Ride in orange and to get so much support from the crowds! I will keep working my ass off to be back in orange!”
